Dr June D’Souza (D.V.M.)
Veterinarian

Having graduated as Doctor of Veterinary Medicine ( B V M ) from the University of Nairobi, Kenya, East Africa in 1988. June immediately found a job with the Kenya Society for the Protection and care of Animals.( K.S.P.C.A. )
Arriving in Canada in April 1995, June had to re-qualify for practice in the Veterinary field. She completed the National Board Exams for Certification in January 1999.She immediately secured a permanent position with the Marion Vernon Memorial Animal Clinic, solely operated for the O.S.P.C.A . Proving her excellent skills in the Veterinary field and handling of the Administration duties perfectly,enabled her to be promoted to the position of Director of Veterinary Medicine for the Clinic, which she held until July 2005.

June’s dream came true when she bought “Essa Veterinary Services”, a running practice in Barrie. Joyce, Tammy and Melanie, who worked together at the Marion Vernon Memorial Clinic gladly joined her new venture.

Desmond D’Souza
Manager

Since inception Desmond has Managed the Accounting and Administration duties. Having worked in the Manufacturing field in Logistics he now concentrates in assisting the daily routine at the clinic.

Joyce Randell
Receptionist / Assistant Clinic Manager

Joyce Randell started working in the veterinary field in October of 1974 and has been working with Dr. D’Souza since 1999 were they met at the Marion Vernon Memorial Animal Clinic. She came over with Dr. D’Souza to Essa Veterinary Services in August 2005.

Melanie Briggs
Registered Veterinary Technician

Graduated from Northern college in 2004 Melanie wrote her provincial exam shortly after. Melanie has worked at Essa Veterinary Services since 2007.
